At 10AM, with the click of a mouse in the control room, the slide gate was opened, the motor was started and milled corn was introduced into the slurry system to start the plant running.  After a few hours Fermenter 1 started filling.  After a couple days, CRRF will have almost 750,000 gallons of beer, and the distillation process will start up to begin producing fuel grade ethanol.  This was an exciting day for all Castle Rock employees.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held at Castle Rock Renewable Fuels, LLC. It was attended by Wisconsin State Senator Dale Schultz, Senator Sheryl Albers, Terry Whipple of the Juneau County Economic Development Corporation.

Castle Rock Renewable Fuels, LLC closed on a Senior Credit Facility with Farm Credit Services of Grand Forks, FLCA.

The Community Development Authority of the Town of Necedah, Wisconsin issued $12,000,000 of Subordinate Exempt Facility Revenue Bonds (Castle Rock Renewable Fuels LLC Project) Series 2006.
